For home-service owners

It's 11:47 PM. You're still on the laptop. Estimate number four this week.

You own the shop. You thought that meant freedom. Instead you're the CFO, the CSR, the dispatcher, the quoting engine, and the tech — all before sunrise tomorrow.

Sunday was gone before it started. Your kid's soccer game Saturday. The trip you keep putting off. The sleep you keep not getting.

Here's how the week actually goes

You didn't start your shop to live like this.

Every home-service owner we've talked to runs the same gauntlet. Different trade, same week. If any of this doesn't sound like yours, stop reading.

Quoting at 11pm, again.

You drove out. Measured. Drove back. Wrote it up after dinner. The homeowner never replies. Half a day gone. You do this three times a week.

Emergency calls eating your weekend.

A burst pipe. A dead AC. A panel sparking. You go. You fix. You lose Saturday. Your kid asks when you'll be home. You say "soon."

Feast or famine every single year.

Summer felt like drowning. November payroll is still due. You've borrowed from the HELOC so many times your wife stopped asking why.

The next tech would fix everything. You can't find one. Or afford one.

You'd grow if you had help. You don't. So you stay two trucks, two crews, two steps behind the shops outgrowing you.

The cost of staying stuck
$40K–$120Ka year. Depending on the trade, that's what the average shop loses to slow quoting, scope creep, missed leads, and burned-out owners.
15 hrs

per week of your life going to paperwork that shouldn't take you any time at all.

52%

of your quotes close. The rest go to whoever answered first — which is rarely you.

0

weekends since February where you haven't thought about work before breakfast.

What if most of this ran itself — without hiring another soul?

What we did about it

14 owners. 6 months. One playbook per trade.

We rode along with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, cleaning, and painting owners across the country. Watched them win. Watched them lose. Wrote down every blueprint, every tool setup, every customer message the good ones run on repeat — and turned it into a playbook per trade.

We're not contractors. The owners who built this with us are. Every blueprint was tested on their quotes, their customers, their slow seasons. Not theory. Real shops, real P&Ls, real messages that closed real jobs.
How it works

Three steps. That's the whole thing.

01

Grab your playbook

Scroll down, grab yours. Each playbook is built specifically for the trade — real blueprints, real tools, real dollar figures. Instant download.

02

Pick one blueprint

Open Chapter 3. Pick the one that hurts the most this week. Paste it into ChatGPT (or Claude). Fill in the blanks.

03

Run it tomorrow

Send it to the customer. What used to take 45 minutes takes 6. Repeat on the next job. Win back the week.

Grab yours

One playbook per trade. Get yours.

Each playbook is written specifically for that trade — a generic guide wouldn't help. That's why the last one you bought didn't.

Questions

What owners ask before buying.

Do I need to be 'techy' to use this?

If you can text, you can run everything in this playbook. The 30-day plan is one task per day — open an account here, paste a blueprint there, fill in a template. No coding, no software to install beyond apps you already use on your phone.

What if I already use Housecall Pro / Jobber / ServiceTitan?

Good — the setup walkthroughs include what to do if you're already on these. The blueprints plug into your existing stack. You won't be forced to migrate anything.

Is this just generic advice repackaged for my trade?

No. Every blueprint, every scenario, every dollar figure is specific to the trade. An HVAC emergency blueprint references R-22, SEER ratings, and seasonal tune-ups. A plumbing blueprint references galvanized lines, slab leaks, and DIY pushback. Generic wouldn't work — that's why the last guide you bought didn't.

So what's tomorrow look like?

Another 11pm estimate. Another weekend half-lost. Another year running the same shop the same way. Or you pick a trade, grab the playbook tonight, and run a different shop in 30 days.
